Ce nouveau confinement est un coup dur pour les commerçants. Au bord de la faillite pour certains ou déjà fortement affaiblis par le confinement précédent pour d’autres, il est difficile pour tous de faire face à cette nouvelle décision gouvernementale ; d’autant qu’une menace grandissante s’impose de plus en plus face à eux : le commerce en ligne. Alors que le géant Américain Amazon s’en frotte les mains, des initiatives locales voire nationales voient le jour en faveur du commerce local.
C’est dans ce contexte qu’Intermarché a partagé sa nouvelle opération à travers un communiqué osé et plein d’espoir pour les petits commerçants : « Désolé Amazon ».
En effet, Intermarché lance dès lundi 9 novembre un « drive solidaire » en soutien aux libraires locaux. L’objectif est de mettre à disposition de ces derniers la place de marché numérique des supermarchés du groupe partout en France et ceux, durant 6 mois. Les librairies indépendantes inscrites au dispositif pourront ainsi référencer gratuitement leurs livres tout en bénéficiant du click&collect des magasins de l’enseigne. Cette main tendue est une réelle aubaine pour les petits commerces en détresse, surtout à l’approche des fêtes de fin d’année où la majeure partie des ventes sont réalisées.
Côté consommateurs, ils pourront acheter les livres directement via l’application d’Intermarché lorsqu’ils réalisent leurs courses habituelles. Chacun d’eux sera facilement identifiables grâce à une vignette spécifique.
Ce dispositif, dans un premier temps réservé aux libraires, sera ensuite élargi à d’autres secteurs qui périclitent.
Comme l’indique le communiqué : « nous sommes d’ores et déjà en train de travailler à rendre ce service disponible pour les autres commerces de proximité en difficulté ». De quoi donner un nouvel espoir à chacun des commerçants du coin.
