À l’approche des fêtes de fin d’année, voilà une polémique dont Bouygues Telecom se serait bien passé…
C’est la goutte d’eau qui fait déborder l’huître.
Bouygues Telecom est dans le viseur des ostréiculteurs après la diffusion d’une publicité laissant sous-entendre que les huîtres rendent malades. Le mardi 10 novembre, une vingtaine de professionnels de la conchyliculture se sont retrouvés à Lorient (Morbihan) pour manifester leur colère face à ce spot publicitaire en déversant algues, coquilles d’huîtres et vase devant une boutique de l’opérateur.

C’est le nom de la publicité dans laquelle une famille, réunie dans un véhicule, entend les reproches et clichés plutôt amusants de leurs hôtes qui ont malencontreusement oublié de raccrocher un appel téléphonique. Problème : un des personnages est soupçonné de ramener des huîtres dont la fraîcheur est douteuse à chaque période de fêtes…
« Y’aura mon cousin avec ses huîtres. Alors je sais que t’aime l’aventure mais là je te déconseille : chaque année, y’en a un qui tombe malade » explique l’une des actrices dans le film. La publicité originale a depuis été retirée de la plateforme Youtube.
« On a de l’humour mais la situation est difficile »
Une blague que digèrent mal les professionnels de l’ostréiculture, qui pointent une année délicate à cause de la crise du COVID-19 et la baisse des prix des huîtres. « On a de l’humour mais la situation est difficile » explique Jacques Carrer, président du syndicat ostréicole de la Ria d’Etel, lui qui estime que la publicité pointe du doigt une filière déjà en difficulté.
Sur les réseaux sociaux cependant, les réactions sont beaucoup plus nuancées. Beaucoup d’internautes considèrent que la publicité est plutôt drôle et ne comprennent pas vraiment la colère des ostréiculteurs. Pour certains, ils manquent cruellement de second degré.
D’ailleurs, Bouygues Telecom explique n’avoir eu « aucun autre commentaire à l’égard des huîtres sur nos réseaux sociaux : il semble que le message soit bien décodé sur le ton de l’humour par les spectateurs. ».
C'est quand même grave que des ostréiculteurs en soit venu à manifester et saccager une boutique Bouygues Telecom pour une pub qui fait de l'humour sur les huîtres 🙄 les gens n'ont plus aucun humour et prennent tout systématiquement au 1er degré 🙄 #huitres #BouyguesTelecom

La nouvelle pub de Bouygues Telecom
Très vite, l’entreprise a réagit en s’excusant auprès de la profession dans un communiqué publié le 10 novembre. « Les représentants de cette profession nous alertent sur la mauvaise image qui pourrait être véhiculée sur la qualité et la fraîcheur des huîtres à l’approche des fêtes, en cette année particulièrement difficile. Bouygues Telecom souhaite leur témoigner ses sincères excuses et en particulier aux ostréiculteurs pour l’émotion générée. (…) Notre équipe est très touchée par vos réactions et particulièrement nos boutiques et nos équipes réseau » explique Bouygues Telecom, qui a depuis changé le spot publicitaire.
Le cliché de l’oncle qui ramène toujours des huitres douteuses est désormais remplacé par le fait qu’il les mange toujours toutes.
Après une douzaine d’heures pour digérer, notre pub de Noël est déjà de retour avec toujours les mêmes ingrédients : de la famille, de l’amour, de l’humour et bien sûr… des huîtres 🦪 😉 Mais dépêchez-vous, il n’y en aura pas pour tout le monde ! #OnEstFaitPourEtreEnsemble

Notons la réactivité de l’entreprise qui a su rebondir (avec humour) pour proposer une publicité modifiée en moins de 2 jours, évitant ainsi toute controverse.
Une chose est désormais sûre, il ne faut pas rigoler avec les huîtres, au risque de voir déferler des vagues de passionnés défendant contre vents et marées leurs intérêts.
