Vous avez sûrement vu passer l’une de ses infographies sur votre feed ? Nous avons eu la chance de nous entretenir avec lui. Aujourd’hui, pour Gnitekram on vous présente Mounir a.k.a. Mounir Digital sous un autre angle.
Avant de commencer par la présentation j’aimerais savoir comment s’est passé ton confinement, et si cela a beaucoup impacté ton travail ?
Je vais quand même rapidement te dire qui je suis. Je suis Mounir, je ne suis pas Mounir Digital parce que ça c’est mon nom 2.0 on va dire. Je suis diplômé comme toi d’un IAE depuis décembre 2018. Et comme tu l’as sûrement vu, j’ai voulu anticiper la recherche d’emploi, j’ai misé sur Linkedin et je me suis retrouvé à conseiller des gens. Je me suis donc dit qu’il y avait des choses à faire sur ce terrain là. Alors j’ai complètement abandonné ma recherche d’emploi pour me lancer dans l’entrepreneuriat depuis janvier 2019. Aujourd’hui je suis consultant social média et coach LinkedIn pour les entrepreneurs. Voilà ce que je suis.
Concernant le confinement… Le confinement a commencé mi-mars,et là on est mi-mai, voire un peu plus. J’ai été impacté… mais bon c’est comme ça le business, on peut comprendre ce qui se passe par rapport aux ressources et tout ça… J’ai été un petit peu impacté mais pas tellement finalement, j’ai profité du confinement pour avancer dans les projets qui me tiennent à coeur comme la formation Mou’graphie que j’ai lancé en avril. S’il n’y avait pas eu le confinement, je ne l’aurais pas lancé.
Ah, donc ça t’as permis quand même d’évoluer dans un domaine…
De monter en compétence, de créer ma première formation en ligne. Pour la plupart des entrepreneurs c’est rien du tout, mais pour moi c’est quelque chose… J’ai appris à faire une page de vente, à l’améliorer, à utiliser une plateforme pour héberger des formations en vidéos, parce que oui, aujourd’hui on cherche tous des tutos Youtube… Les tutos sur Youtube c’est gratuit. Pour moi si ça sert, c’est qu’il faut le vendre, ça doit être payant. Ce que tu sais tu le vends. Voilà donc je suis monté en compétence et j’ai essayé de garder le lien avec mes prospects, mes clients… Le confinement m’a permis de m’améliorer moi-même… et avec les gens aussi.
D’accord. Donc il y a eu du bon comme du mauvais durant ce confinement. Comme pour la plupart des entreprises je pense..
Beaucoup de bon. Parce qu’on se plaint beaucoup à cause du travail, mais… Après je suis encore jeune… Je n’ai pas la même vie que certains… mais peut-être que c’est plus facile pour moi que pour d’autres tu vois ?
Oui je vois. Si je ne t’ai pas demandé de te présenter au départ c’est parce que je voulais que tu te présentes d’une manière un peu plus ludique et moins conventionnelle. Tu connais le principe du portrait chinois ?

C’est quoi pour toi un influenceur?
Ben je dirais quelqu’un qui inspire les autres, qui projette sa vision du monde peu importe le domaine dans lequel il évolue. Pour moi c’est vraiment une question d’inspiration.
Ah, alors le prophète Mohamed, Mohamed Ali, il a Malcolm X, Gandhi… Gary Vaynerchuk on peut le mettre dedans. Tu vois pour moi c’est ça des influenceurs. C’est pas les gens qu’on appelle “influenceurs” aujourd’hui.
Donc c’est vraiment des personnes qui ont fait bouger les choses ?
Oui voilà qui ont changé les mentalités, pour moi c’est ça un influenceur. Moi j’aime pas le mot “influenceur”. On peut dire “personnes reconnues”, “personnes inspirantes” même “experts” ou “spécialistes”.
Comment Mounir Digital est né ? A quel moment tu t’es dit : « il faut que je me lance dans l’entreprenariat » ?
Quand j’ai vu que dans mes stages et en alternance je n’avais pas une certaine liberté… Devoir à chaque fois passer par des phases de validation.. Ça me saoulait… Comme si j’étais “ enfermé” dans une cage … Même si j’étais payé… Même si tu fais un métier que t’aimes… L’entourage va te faire détester le métier. Tu dois faire comme l’entreprise veut que tu fasses, tu dois respecter les règles, tu dois attendre la validation. C’est là où je me suis dit t’es compétent, t’as un petit réseau maintenant, lance toi et propose ton savoir aux autres.
Comment étaient tes débuts dans le monde professionnel ?
Ben c’était un peu n’importe quoi, j’avais beaucoup de moments de doute, je ne savais pas par où commencer. Les papiers, jusqu’à aujourd’hui c’est quelque chose que je n’aime pas. C’était nouveau, il y a eu beaucoup d’isolement aussi…
Tu ne t’es pas senti entouré ?
Seulement par les vraies personnes , quelques amis et mes proches. Je pensais que certaines personnes de mon réseau allaient me soutenir mais en fait non. C’est que des “félicitations” quand tu as quelque chose de nouveau qui sort… Elles ont du mal à donner de la force…
Je vois. Donc c’est plus difficile que tu ne le pensais.
Oui, c’est difficile. Mais tu apprends beaucoup !
Okay. Est-ce que tu peux me décrire la journée type de Mounir Digital ?
La journée type? Je me lève, j’essaie de me lever tôt même si c’est difficile. Moi je suis un couche tard, je dois arrêter de faire ça mais je trouve plus l’inspiration la nuit.. Bref ! Ma journée type: je me lève, je fais ce que j’ai à faire personnellement. Je prend un papier et je fait un mind mapping au lieu de prendre un agenda ou de faire une to do list. Je mets le jour au centre et j’établie des routines… Voilà, je met les bulles “check mail”, obligé de regarder les mails le matin, l’après midi et le soir. Après les bulles pour les différents clients. Client 1, client 2, client 3… Ça c’est la matinée. Après j’essaie de faire du personal branding, de préparer mes contenus. Ça c’est plus le samedi et le dimanche. Mais généralement voilà, je me lève, je check mes mails, les clients et ensuite j’essaie de me former d’avantage, d’apprendre, de lire ou de faire du sport.
Donc tu arrives à dégager quand même du temps libre pour toi.
Obligé. En plus si tu fait un métier que t’aimes, tu te sens plus libre.
Si tu n’avais pas lancé Mounir Digital, qu’aurais-tu aimé faire ?
Je ne sais pas. J’aurais peut-être fais quelque chose dans l’humanitaire je pense. Un projet humanitaire… Voyager dans certaines régions du monde, aider des gens dans le besoin. Apporter quelque chose au monde.. Une mission humaine.
Tu as besoin d’apporter quelque chose en fait ?
Toujours. Apporter du savoir ou bien… Aider en fait, l’aide. C’est un moteur pour moi.
T’es quelqu’un d’assez altruiste.
Oui voilà.
D’accord. Tu figures dans de nombreux classements d’influenceurs à suivre. Tout à l’heure tu disais que tu n’aimais pas ce terme mais peut-on te définir comme un influenceur ? Notamment sur LinkedIn ?
Je ne sais pas, moi je n’aime pas trop le mot “influenceur”. Peut-être “expert reconnu” ou bien “spécialiste”… Mais tu ne peux pas contrôler la communication des gens. Ils te définissent comme ça malheureusement… T’es obligé d’accepter. Peut-être que j’ai fait ma place dans le domaine.. Je ne sais pas.. Ce n’était pas voulu, j’ai juste fait ce que j’aimais en aidant les gens… Ma passion par la grâce de Dieu.
De toute façon je pense que c’est le public qui définit les influenceurs, c’est pas les influenceurs eux-même qui s’attribuent ce titre.
Voilà. Ça doit venir d’autrui, mais pas de toi.
Oui voilà. On parle souvent des réussites mais très peu des échecs. Quel est ton plus gros échec ? En tant qu’étudiant on peut être confronté à des échecs lorsqu’on recherche un stage, une alternance ou un premier job… As-tu une anecdote à nous raconter sur des difficultés que tu as rencontré dans le monde du travail ?
Des difficultés? Ben quand je faisais mes infographies au début, on me les volaient. Voilà une anecdote assez incroyable !
Tu ne mettais pas les filigranes au début.
Oui, je ne mettais pas les filigranes au départ, maintenant ça va je n’ai presque plus de problèmes. Mais sait-on jamais, un gars peut mettre son logo dessus. Mais voilà… Je n’ai plus envie de perdre du temps avec ces personnes maintenant, la communauté sait reconnaître mon travail. Je n’ai plus besoin de courir après eux, ou de les attaquer en justice… Je n’ai vraiment pas le temps pour ça. Pour l’anecdote: un jour, un gars a voulu découper une infographie que j’avais fait sur le couscous. Il a enlevé mon nom et tout (rire). J’ai commenté sa publication pour dénoncer son vol. Résultat : son post a eu moins de likes que mon commentaire. Après ça c’est une anecdote social média… Comme autre difficulté… Il y a les clients qui croient qu’on est leur salarié.. C’est pour ça qu’il faut mettre les choses au clair dès le départ. Il faut dire dès le début qu’on préfère être libre… Moi je connais mon travail, je sais ce que je dois faire, je n’ai pas besoin qu’on m’appelle toutes les 5 secondes. J’ai étudié les valeurs de l’entreprise, je les ai analysé etc… Pas besoin de courir derrière moi tout le temps. C’est un peu une contrainte tu vois. Après il y a aussi les difficultés de paiement… Pareil il faut courir derrière le client pour qu’il s’en rappelle. Il vaut mieux instaurer un système d’acompte ou un mode de paiement automatique.
Pour partager une dernière anecdote… On m’a dit qu’avec un prénom d’arabe je n’aurais pas de client. Depuis, cette phrase m’a motivé. Et il y a deux jours… Tu as vu le classement dont tu me parlais là ? Eh bien j’étais le seul arabe dessus.
C’est une fierté pour toi ?
Un petit peu, je ne sais pas. Pour mes parents en tout cas ça l’est.
Ça fait maintenant quelques années que Mounir Digital a été lancé…

Si tu avais un conseil à donner au toi qui était en master 2. Lequel ça serait ?
Sortir du lot. Il y a trop de contenu sur le web, il y en a trop ! Sortez du lot !
Avec la visibilité que tu as sur LinkedIn, est-ce que tu as atteint le stade où les clients viennent d’eux-mêmes à toi ?
C’était l’objectif… faire de l’inbound marketing. Je ne prospecte quasiment plus par la grâce de Dieu. Mais sinon je ne perds plus mon temps à prospecter parce que c’est beaucoup de temps et d’énergie. Je pars du principe qu’avec les conseils que je donne… il faut que l’entrepreneur se dise : “Ah oui, lui, il peut m’aider !”.
Mounir Digital est surtout connu pour ses infographies, tu en as des centaines à ton actif. Où puises-tu l’inspiration ?
Quand je sors dehors, je regarde ce que font les gens en story Insta ou Snapchat. J’essaie de lire des livres, je regarde la télé. Des fois en mangeant, ma mère me dit “Vas-y, arrête de penser à ton truc. Mange tranquillement et après fais tes trucs”
Donc ça vient vraiment à n’importe quel moment?
Ça vient la nuit… En fait ça vient dans l’observation. Je ne sais pas… Il se peut que je fasse un footing, que je vois un objet par terre et me dise : “Ah tiens, je peux faire quelque chose avec ça”. Par exemple, avec le coronavirus, quand je vois le gel hydroalcoolique et le masque… Je me dis que je peux faire un truc utile, pas alimenter la peur mais faire quelque chose d’utile. Utiliser les objets de la vie quotidienne, mettre de l’émotion, rebondir sur l’actualité comme le fait Burger King… Du newsjacking, et le lier à un concept ou à un conseil marketing ou social média.
Quelle est ton infographie préférée ? Il y en a forcément une que tu apprécies plus que les autres.
C’est celle qui… on va dire, m’a permis de faire ma place : Community manager vu par les autres VS en réalité. Je l’avais publié en avril 2018, j’étais en alternance, les gens autour de moi disaient “Vous faites de la merde, vous ne faites rien du tout ! Vous passez votre temps à lire des articles ! ” D’accord c’est pourri… Mais quand tu as des difficultés sur Google à avoir des avis… à être positionné sur les bon mots-clé comment tu fais ? Ce n’est pas cette personne que tu appelles ? Ne plus être sous-estimé, moi c’est mon combat ! Beaucoup se reconnaissent et n’osent pas s’exprimer sur LinkedIn par peur de… le syndrome de l’imposteur ou je ne sais pas quoi. Et moi je me suis exprimé à leur place et c’est pour ça que j’ai réussi. Beaucoup d’étudiants, beaucoup d’entrepreneurs sur le terrain se sont reconnus. C’est pour cela que je lui dois beaucoup à cette infographie. Je pense que c’est ma préférée. Il y a aussi le tableau périodique des éléments…
Oui elle est pas mal aussi celle-là. Tu as commencé à faire des infographies sur LinkedIn pour te distinguer et anticiper la recherche du premier emploi. Aujourd’hui j’ai l’impression que tout le monde sur LinkedIn crée des infographies, comment faire pour se démarquer ?
Il faut sortir du lot. Il y a beaucoup trop de contenus sur Linkedin. Par exemple ce que tu as fait pour Buzzman : la vidéo. Moi je suis resté sur la vidéo ! Aujourd’hui LinkedIn teste la retention. La retention va être un indicateur de pertinence. Sort du lot ! Il y en a une qui a fait une vidéo Konbini pour sa recherche d’alternance, pareil je me suis arrêté dessus. C’était original ! Il faut être original. Il y a la vidéo désormais mais aussi l’image, parce que les gens n’ont pas de temps à passer sur le fil d’actualité, ils n’ont pas le temps ! Il faut leur apporter un truc visuel… une image vaut mille mots… soit audiovisuel soit visuel, tu leur apportes la même chose que s’ils lisaient un article sauf que l’article ils regardent l’image mais ne cliquent pas dessus.
Donc la vidéo, à partir du moment où elle est pertinente et originale tu penses que ça peut faire la différence ?
Oui dès les trois premières secondes, c’est bon. Je n’ai pas encore investi là-dedans… mais je sais que la vidéo c’est important, c’est pertinent pour l’algorithme sur le réseau.
Quels sont tes projets futurs ?
Je préfère garder le silence sur le sujet pour l’instant.
En tout cas, je tenais à te dire qu’en termes d’identité de marque tu as fait du très bon travail. Personnellement quand je scroll mon fil d’actualité je repère facilement tes publication car tu as vraiment développé une identité propre à toi.

Ne pas hésiter à investir dans des outils parce qu’ils sont vraiment pas chers sur le web, pour se former. Si tu penses qu’un outil va être utile, arrête de chercher le gratuit, ça n’existe pas si tu veux performer.
Toujours être en éveil constant par rapport au marketing digital.
Pour la recherche d’emploi, comme j’ai dis, il faut sortir du lot. Il faut essayer de se démarquer des autres parce qu”aujourd’hui… si tu utilises Linkedin pour mettre un cv et demander de liker et partager, à la fin pour avoir plus de visibilité… c’est trop ordinaire, c’est trop… C’est du déjà vu.
Sortez du lot, partagez un truc propre à vous même. Il faut bâtir son personal branding, prouver ses compétences. Ça ne veut rien dire sur le CV que tu maîtrises Photoshop ou InDesign… ça ne veut rien dire 4 étoiles sur 4 si le jour de l’entretien tu bugues. Non ! Prouve le sur le terrain. Tu sais faire des vidéos ? Tu sais utiliser Photoshop ? Montre ce que tu sais faire… avec des conseils avec des… Même si t’es pas expert, conseille et tu vas attirer les bonnes personnes de ton réseau. On apprend de tout le monde hein. Après il faut être persévérant et patient et toujours garder une bonne image de soi. Entretenir de bonnes relations, pas de jalousie même si c’est devenu dur aujourd’hui.. Voilà j’espère avoir été clair ?
