Un reality game événement débarque à Lyon !
Metropolis est un reality game mobile 3.0, consistantà explorer les différents arrondissements et rues de Lyon à la recherche de bâtiments à acheter et vendre. Basé sur le principe du jeu de société Monopoly, Metropolis est une app réalisée à la manière Pokemon GO, qui nous plonge dans une carte interactive en 2D pour nous aider à posséder la ville et en devenir le maire. Le but pour les joueurs ? être le premier à devenir le maître du jeu en investissant et en prenant possession d’un maximum de bâtiments.
Créé par Ben Kaltenbaek, Roland Lamidieu et Lucas Odion, l’idée de Metropolis née de la rencontre de ces trois adeptes de jeux de société. Fans de stratégie et des jeux de plateau comme Monopoly et Risk, ils décident en mai 2018 de créer Metropolis. Entre virtuel et réel, la ville de Lyon devient en quelques semaines un plateau de jeu, accessible à toute personne munie d’un smartphone. L’objectif ? étendre métropolis à tout l’hexagone.

Explorer et redécouvrir le patrimoine culturel de la ville !
Du 3 mars au 7 avril 2019, près de 1.600 personnes ont pu participer à ce jeu en exclusivité en téléchargeant l’application directement sur leur smartphone. Au départ, chacun des joueurs est crédité de 100 « Metrocoin », monnaie virtuelle qui leur permet d’acquérir l’un des 2.500 bâtiments de la ville. Parmi ces bâtiments : des bars, restaurants, cafés… mais également des bâtiments emblématiques de la capitale des Gaules. Des stations de métro et même des agences Pôle emploi sont également à acheter. A la différence du jeu de société Monopoly classique, pas de rues à acquérir.
Comment le joueur gagne des « Metrocoin » ? A chaque fois qu’un joueur passe devant un bâtiment, son propriétaire touche de l’argent. Cependant, le passant ne paie rien. L’objectif, faire (re)découvrir le patrimoine culturel de la ville à ses habitants, que ce soit les lieux incontournables ou les lieux moins connus.
Pour gagner, les joueurs doivent cumuler le plus d’argent et posséder le plus de bâtiments. A la différence du Monopoly classique, le prix de chaque bâtiment n’est pas fixé à l’avance, mais suit une logique d’enchère. Les joueurs peuvent faire des offres pour racheter les biens de leurs adversaires. Si ces derniers ne peuvent pas s’aligner pour les conserver, ils devront donc les revendre. Les plus « riches » pourront ensuite rêver d’acquérir la basilique de Fourvière dominant la ville de Lyon. Des cartes chances ou des malus viendront pimenter le dérouler du jeu. « Certains devront payer des factures, d’autres auront des travaux à faire ou la possibilité de dégrader le bâtiment du voisin ».
Grâce à cette première partie de jeu organisée durant 1 mois à Lyon, une première version de l’application est en cours de création avec un seul but : transformer le monde en un seul et grand plateau de jeu !
