Un peu de culture ! Il ne s’agit pas là de savoir qui a réalisé le meilleur score de lancer de javelot féminin de JO 1988, (soit dit en passant, c’était l’Allemande Petra Felke, avec un record de plus de 80 mètres. Trêve de plaisanterie, que l’on remette les choses dans leur contexte. La notion de marketing parle à un bon nombre d’entre nous. Il étudie les besoins des consommateurs et les moyens d’actions que l’on peut mettre en place pour influencer un comportement d’achat avec comme finalité une création de valeur.
En parallèle, l’univers du sport est un bon terrain de jeu pour le marketing, ce qui a donné lieu au développement du marketing sportif. Ainsi, les entreprises utilisent le sport, son image et ses acteurs au profit de produits (sportifs ou non) et/ou de l’entreprise.
Que l’on soit sportif aguerri ou non, cette pratique reste fédératrice et lucrative. Les marques l’ont bien compris. En voici quelques exemples.
Les marques et les sports extrêmes
La semaine dernière tu as pu découvrir sur le blog les évènements assez fous de Redbull, si ce n’est pas déjà fait, je t’invite par ici !
Bien que la marque soit très douée dans la création d’évènements sportifs, tu dois t’en douter ce n’est pas la seule.
En effet, dans le même genre, à l’occasion de sa 39ème année de partenariat avec Roland Garros, en juin 2017, Perrier a proposé un survol du Champs-de-Mars en tyrolienne à partir du deuxième étage de la tour Eiffel, de quoi donner le vertige.
GoPro est aussi un bon élève qui connaît bien les sports extrêmes. Tu as déjà probablement vu les vidéos démentes de la marque. Celles qui te donnent envie de tout quitter du jour au lendemain pour aller faire une petite session surf à Hawaï, un saut en parachute au dessus du Grand Canyon, descendre le canyoning de Rio Verde, faire une descente en snowboard ou une petite balade en kayak dans les Gorges du Tarn (of course), et cætera, et cætera, et cætera.
Et bien ce n’est pas tout ce qu’elle sait faire. GoPro s’est associé à un projet initié par la Vail Valley Foundation : les Mountain Games.
Des milliers d’athlètes professionnels et amateurs se réunissent dans les montagnes et les rivières de Vail (aux EU) pour participer à 11 disciplines et à plus de 30 compétitions, dont le kayak, le slackline, les Dock Dogs, la course à pied, l’escalade, etc.
Et en plus il y a des séries de concerts, des séances de yoga, des stands de nourriture, des expo d’arts tout au long du week-end. Elle est pas belle la vie ?!

Pour les adeptes de sport de glisse qui n’en n’ont pas eu assez (pour les autres … sorry i’m not sorry), il y a Quicksilver.
La marque spécialisée dans les sports de glisse organise de nombreuses compétitions sportives chaque année, notamment la Quicksilver Pro France qui est l’une des manches de la World Surf League. A l’occasion, je te conseille d’aller faire un tour en terre landaise, à Hossegor, pour voir ce championnat, ça vaut le détour.
Les marques et le naming sportif
D’autres marques n’hésitent pas à s’inscrire dans cette logique de marketing sportif avec le concept de naming. Si toi aussi t’es un petit malin qui fait du « gnitekram », ce terme doit te parler. Mais pour les autres, un peu de culture ça ne fait pas de mal. Tu te coucheras moins bête !
Le naming quèsaco ? Oui oui oui, en plus de faire les capitalistes blogueurs/blagueurs, on ne te l’avait peut-être pas dit mais notre team vient du sud « et par tous les chemins elle y revient », (pour les connaisseurs). Pour faire simple nous sommes des provinciaux, so no judgment !
Cette pratique est moins largement répandue en France (bien qu’elle soit en expansion), que chez nos amis les américains pour qui c’est un sport national « ahah ».
Plus communément, les marques ou les sociétés donnent leurs noms à des enceintes sportives, on connaît tous l’AccorHotels Arena, auparavant le Palais omnisports de Paris-Bercy, le Groupama Stadium à Lyon, l’Orange Vélodrome à Marseille, ou bien à une compétition. C’est le cas avec le championnat de France de basket professionnel, anciennement Pro A qui depuis Mars dernier s’appelle la « Jeep-Elite ».
Dans un autre registre, on trouve également Danone. La Danone Nations Cup est « le plus grand tournoi de football au monde » pour les enfants âgés de 10 à 12 ans. L’ambassadeur national n’est autre que notre légendaire Zizou (que des numéros 10 sur notre blog). Et pour ta culture footbalistique sache qu’Alexandre Lacazette y a participé en 2003. Ce championnat existe depuis 2000 et depuis 2017 un tournoi exclusivement féminin a été créé. Alors on espère de tout cœur pour 2019 que nos équipes Juniors Françaises vont ramener la Coupe à la maison.
Les marques et les runs éthiques
Si tu es plus dans une logique éthique et que le sport c’est ton truc (ou bien que tu cherches la motivation pour t’y mettre une bonne fois pour toute), saches-le, mais depuis 2015 maintenant, l’enseigne d’agroalimentaire responsable Bio C’ Bon organise des runnings.
Pour être bien à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur (du jus de citron dans de l’eau tiède tous les matins ça aide aussi ; parole de fitgirl). Plutôt cool non ? Certaines séances de running se finissent même par une session de yoga.
C’est sur leur page Facebook spéciale running que ça se passe. Je sais que ça t’intrigue, jette un coup d’œil ici alors pour voir s’il y a des sessions organisées près de chez toi. C’est gratuit en plus, alerte bon plan pour étudiant fauché.
