Et si on vous parlait d’une nouvelle version du Monopoly plus écolo, vous en penserez quoi ? On a tous et toutes déjà constaté que les grands groupes décidait d’adopter une stratégie plus responsable. Et pourquoi pas les jeux de société ? C’est le pari que se lance Hasbro avec la nouvelle version de son jeu phare, le Monopoly.
Le monopoly aka le jeu le plus long du monde
Ne me dîtes pas que vous ne connaissez pas ce jeu ? Mais si ! Ce jeu qui dure des plombes et pour lequel on finit par se disputer avec la moitié de ses ami(e)s ? Et oui, je vous parle bien du Monopoly !
Bon si certains d’entre vous sont à la traîne sur le Monopoly, voici un petit topo sur ce jeu et son histoire.
Le Monopoly est un jeu de société américain édité par Hasbro en 1935, autant vous dire qu’il n’est le petit nouveau de l’univers du gaming. A l’initiative de ce jeu, un américain Charles Darrow qui s’inspire d’un jeu déjà existant The Landlord’s Game qui avait pour but de montrer la « nature antisociale du monopole sur le sol » selon Henry George.
Outre le côté historique du jeu, le Monopoly est un jeu de société accessible dès 8 ans dont le but est d’écraser ses adversaires grâce à des transactions immobilières, autrement dit des achats et des ventes de propriétés. Ce jeu est représentatif des aspects ostensibles et exceptionnels du capitalisme puisque le principe est de faire et défaire des fortunes à l’aide d’un simple jet de dés.
Après son lancement, ce jeu a connu un succès fulgurant et ceci au niveau mondial. En effet, en 2014, il était commercialisé dans plus de 80 pays et publié dans 43 langues.
Attention, Hasbro ne s’est pas contenté de la version classique du Monopoly ! Effectivement, il a décidé au fur et à mesure de lancer de nouvelles versions de ce jeu si familier pour nous tous :
- Le Monopoly Street qui est une version en ligne lancée avec Google en 2009. Cette version peut être utilisé sur Playstation, Wii etc.
- Un version agricole lancée par le collectif La France agricole en 2012
- Et dernièrement, une nouvelle version du Monopoly a été lancée en 2018 : Monopoly : Cheaters Edition. Cette version est destinée aux tricheurs puisqu’elle permet d’enfreindre les règles de base du jeu
Une nouvelle version plus écolo et solidaire
Grande nouvelle : Hasbro décide de lancer une nouvelle version du jeu Monopoly ! Et pas des moindres, une version qui s’avère plus écolo et solidaire.
En effet, le groupe a décidé d’orienter sa stratégie sur des thèmes différents. Ils ont donc opté pour un changement des cartes avec des énoncés qui tournent davantage sur des concepts d’actualité. Parmi elles, on pourra retrouver :
- Dans un premier temps, l’écologie grâce à des énoncés faisait appel au recyclage et d’autres aspects du respect de l’environnement. Un petit exemple d’énoncé plus écolo que vous pourrez éventuellement retrouver dans votre jeu favori : « Vous avez organisé une fête entre voisins mais vous n’avez pas recyclé vos déchets ? Payez 100$»
- Puis, la solidarité. En effet, le but est de mettre en avant le côté solidaire grâce à des questions invoquant la notion de coopération entre voisins ou en famille par exemple. Un avant-goût d’énoncé solidaire à retrouver dans la nouvelle version du Monopoly : « Vous trouvez un portefeuille sur le trottoir et décidez de ne pas le rendre ? Allez en prison !»
Pour réaliser cette nouvelle version, le groupe a décidé de faire appel à une nouvelle stratégie, très prisée des marques : il s’agit de la co-création. Cette technique permet de faire participer les clients et les futurs clients à la conception d’un produit afin qu’il corresponde aux mieux aux attentes du marché. Ainsi, c’est ce qu’ils ont décidé de faire puisque les internautes sont invités à voter pour des énoncés qu’ils souhaiteraient retrouver dans la nouvelle version du jeu. Alors n’attendez plus, cela se passe directement sur leur site internet jusqu’au 9 avril !
Cette nouvelle version devrait finalement être éditée et commercialisée d’ici l’été prochain en France. Elle sera finalement vendue dans le monde entier d’ici l’automne.
En attendant, Hasbro n’est pas le seul à vouloir plaider pour la cause environnementale. En effet, le mille bornes a d’ores et déjà proposé une version green de son jeu à la fin de l’année 2020. C’était sans compter sur le géant de la restauration rapide, Mcdonald’s, qui a décidé de supprimer les jouets en plastique.
