En janvier dernier, le Groupe Iliad, groupe français de télécommunications détenant l’opérateur Free, annonçait sa stratégie Climat à horizon 2035. L’objectif de cette stratégie est d’atteindre la neutralité carbone. Pour ce faire, le groupe prévoit d’engager près d’1 milliard d’euros sur 15 ans.
Cette stratégie comprend de nombreux points :
- Dès 2021, le groupe s’est engagé à ne s’approvisionner qu’en énergies renouvelables et ceux pour la France, l’Italie et la Pologne. Cela représente pour le groupe une économie de 138 000 tonnes de CO2 rejetées, soit l’équivalent d’un an d’émissions pour une ville de type Arcachon.
- Renoncement au trafic aérien dans la chaîne logistique du groupe
- Allongement de la durée de vie des équipements jusqu’à 10 ans
- Détail des consommations et des émissions carbone sur les factures des clients
- Près de 4 projets de boisement d’une superficie totale de 76 hectares vont être lancés en cette fin d’année afin de contribuer à l’emploi local, à la préservation des sols et à la biodiversité. Le groupe souhaite que l’ensemble de ses projets soient labellisés Bas Carbone en France d’ici 2035.
- Lancement de l’offre responsable Free Flex, n’incitant pas au renouvellement anticipé des smartphones. Les smartphones restitués seront en fonction de leur état, reconditionnés ou recyclés.
- Installation dans l’ensemble des Free Centers, d’une boîte de collecte des smartphones usagés pour promouvoir le recyclage de ces derniers. Pour ce faire, tous les conseillers commerciaux du groupe ont reçu une formation quant à la sensibilisation au recyclage, afin d’inciter les abonnés et prospects à rapporter leurs smartphones usagés en boutiques.
- D’ici 2025, 25% des véhicules utilisés par le groupe seront électriques.
