Vendredi 15 octobre, la Mairie de Toulouse a fait un choix plus qu’audacieux… Ils ont décidé de ne pas ramasser les nombreux déchets présents autour de la place Saint-Pierre, lieu incontournable des étudiants de la ville rose.
Mais pourquoi cette décision me diriez-vous ? Tout simplement pour donner un message choc de sensibilisation auprès des nombreux fêtards présents chaque semaine sur la place. En effet, la mairie n’a pas seulement laissé les détritus, ils ont communiqué avec des affiches marquantes avec la phrase : « Ne laisse pas ta place dégueulasse ! ».
La mairie a voulu mettre en avant l’état lamentable de la place après chaque soirée du jeudi au samedi. C’est une sonnette d’alarme que souhaite mettre en avant la municipalité, car nous pouvons retrouver en moyenne plus de 400 kg de déchets par jour selon Émilion Esnault l’adjoint en charge de la propreté et de la sécurité à la mairie de Toulouse.
Cette campagne a pour but de montrer véritablement la pollution causée par les festayres et marquer les esprits sur leurs actes, et cela sans faire de publicité ou d’affichages dans les rues. En laissant volontairement les déchets sur la place, la mairie confronte les passants et les riverains à cette pollution qui est trop souvent cachée et montre la catastrophe écologique qui se déroule toutes les fins de semaine.
En plus de mettre en avant la pollution causée, cette campagne met en avant aussi les coûts que ce nettoyage demande, plus 100 000€, juste pour la masse salariale par an ! 4 000h de nettoyage ! Et tout ça pour « nettoyer ce que les autres ont sali » *.
D’un point de vue de la communication, c’est une campagne forte, qui n’a demandé presque aucun coût (mis à part les banderoles) et surtout, qui est criante de vérité. D’autant plus que les fêtards du vendredi soir ne pourront pas accéder aux escaliers à cause des déchets présents, comme une punition causée par les excès de la veille et l’individualisme de certains.
La Mairie de Toulouse a simplement voulu montrer dans quel état est la place si la mairie ne la nettoie pas et laisse leurs actes à ciel ouvert à la vue de tous et surtout des intéressés, afin de les faire réagir.
