Ecosia
Et si vous plantiez des arbres de votre bureau ? C’est le pari qu’a lancé Ecosia, le moteur de recherche allemand lancé en 2009. Ce dernier reverse près de 80% de son chiffre d’affaires dans des programmes de reforestation dans le monde entier. Ces programmes sont menés par des associations locales dans les quatre coins du globe (Brésil, Colombie, Espagne, Sénégal, Tanzanie). Les revenus basés sur les recettes publicitaires de l’entreprise sont ainsi divisés dans les coûts de structure, les publicités afin de connaître la marque mais également la publicité. Aujourd’hui, Ecosia investi massivement dans une électricité verte pour faire fonctionner son moteur de recherche et produit deux fois plus d’énergie solaire que nécessaire pour l’alimenter. Après 10 ans de fonctionnement, l’entreprise revendique avoir participé à la plantation de 80 millions d’arbres.
Pour les entreprises qui souhaitent investir en marketing et avoir un impact positif sur l’environnement, Ecosia revendique 15 millions d’utilisateurs actifs par mois, dont 3 millions rien qu’en France, et c’est 400 millions de recherches en novembre 2019.
Lilo
Allier navigation sur internet et participation à des projets solidaires, c’est le principe de Lilo. Les revenus publicitaires générés sont ensuite reversés à des initiatives que l’utilisateur souhaite soutenir parmi une liste de choix. Ce moteur de recherche responsable, français et créé en 2015 fonctionne sur un système de gouttes. Chaque recherche représente une goutte et 1000 gouttes représentent 4 euros. Depuis son lancement, Lilo revendique 1 million d’utilisateurs uniques et près d’1 milliards de recherches.
Lilo a également lancé une extension qui permet aux utilisateurs de réaliser des achats grâce à la plateforme. Les utilisateurs peuvent alors cumuler des gouttes en achetant, de l’équivalent de 1 à 7% de la valeur de son achat.
Pour être soutenu, les porteurs de projets doivent déposer le projet auprès de Lilo, avoir une vocation sociale et/ou environnemental, exister depuis au moins 1 an et avoir 2000 soutiens.
Ecogine
Créé en 2008 par 3 étudiants de Polytech, le moteur de recherche responsable lie à la fois les projets solidaires et l’environnement. En effet, Ecogine reverse 10% de ses revenus à un programme de compensation de rejet de CO2 et compense ainsi son empreinte carbone. Ses bénéfices, issues de la publicité sont ensuite reversés à 100% dans des ONG environnementales choisies par les utilisateurs. Ce montant est d’environ 2,10 € pour 1000 recherches.
