Depuis plusieurs années, réduire leur empreinte écologique est l’objectif de ces festivals éco-responsable qui ont fait le choix de suivre une charte développement durable.
We Love Green, le festival parisien qui excelle !
Depuis 2011, des artistes pop-rock, des rappeurs et des rappeuses, des Djs se présentent sur la scène parisienne. En parallèle de l’événement musical, le festival se présente comme « un laboratoire d’expérimentation de solutions de développement durable pour le secteur événementiel et le spectacle vivant ».
Basé sur une charte développement durable, le festival We Love Green se concentre sur 6 axes : l’énergie, l’alimentation, l’eau, les déchets, les transports et la sensibilisation. Panneaux solaires pour alimenter une scène, repas cuisinés à partir d’invendus, gobelets consignés et réutilisables, gourdes, collecte de mégots pour les recycler, et d’autres dizaines d’actions mises en place de la conception du festival jusqu’à sa mise en œuvre.
En 2018, c’est un rendez-vous de 74 000 festivaliers et festivalières, 80 artistes, 50 start-up et ONG, et bien d’autres : une réussite !

Depuis 2005, Terres Du Son le festival qui se nomme lui-même « éco-festival » accueille, en Centre-Val de Loire, des artistes de tous les styles, jeunes talent.e.s, artistes locaux, locales ou renommé.e.s, ainsi qu’un public de tout âge. Dans le but de mettre au cœur du festival les problématiques du développement durable, un éco-village a été créé. Afin de sensibiliser le public, les festivaliers et festivalières ont la possibilité d’assister à des débats et des conférences, de rencontrer des associations. Le festival se concentre sur 6 points pour son organisation : les déchets, l’énergie, les transports, l’alimentation, l’accessibilité à tous et toutes et.. la communication !
En effet, l’équipe de communication tient par exemple à vendre du merchandising éthique et responsable, à limiter ses impressions papier ou alors utiliser du papier recyclé et des encres végétales.
En 2018, c’est 35 000 personnes qui se sont réuni.e.s, contre une moyenne de 40 000 les éditions précédentes. Le festival commence-t-il à s’essouffler ? Même si une remise en question va être faite, les trois fondateurs voient leur festival comme un projet à long terme et veulent continuer d’organiser un événement représentatif de leurs valeurs.
Et ils ne sont pas les seuls…
Le Woodstower festival à Lyon, Darwin Climax à Bordeaux, le Cabaret Vert à Charleville-Mézères, et encore bien d’autres sont des festivals éco-responsables qui proposent une variété d’artistes sur scène, tout en respectant l’environnement.
